Catherine Sullivan, MSW, RSW
Clinical Supervision, EMDR, Free Consult, Trauma Therapy
EMDR can help you re-process traumatic memories so they aren’t disturbing anymore. Talk therapy and CPT can help you learn new ways to understand your feelings and explore how past patterns of behaviour are no longer working in the present. I work with those who have experienced trauma to help them heal and gain a better understanding of how to move forward. I understand that trauma and intrusive thoughts often go hand in hand.
I offer a safe space to help you explore how trauma and intrusive thoughts have been impacting your life. Using an eclectic mix of therapy techniques, and a bit of humour, I can help you begin to feel like yourself again. This will help you re-gain confidence, re-establish connections and re-build safety.
From this stronger foundation you can move forward and not have your past trauma(s) continue to affect you in the present. By reconnecting with yourself, you can learn to regulate your emotions and set healthy boundaries in your relationships with yourself and others.
When I’m not working you’ll likely find me on my yoga mat. I’m a single parent to a 13-year old child and 4-year old cat. I also love to read.
